HOWDY!

I’m Nyoka Celestine, a Starbucks-lovin’, all-black-wearin’ wife and traveling hair and makeup artist living deep in the heart of Texas, or should I say “H-town.” I was born and raised here in “The H” and have fallen in love with the city’s eclectic eateries, southern accent, and diverse community.

Anyone who knows me knows that I’ve always loved the beauty industry. I remember getting in trouble for cutting my sister’s Barbie doll’s hair one day when I was about 9 or 10 years old. Her hair was matted, so I felt as though she needed a trim! Another time, I can recall playing in my mom’s makeup and applying my blush so heavy that it looked like two shooting range targets on my cheeks. Please tell me I’m not the only one who did this…

I’ve always strived to be the type of artist unlike any other. I want to make hair and makeup fun, easy, and time-conscious. I mean, who wants to be in the salon for six hours just to get a shampoo and style? When you work with me, you’ll find that the way we consult about your makeup, choose your style, and finish your look is different from anything you’ve experienced before.

On any given day, you can find me enhancing the beauty of a lovely bride, swimming laps in the pool, or curled up on the couch watching an Astros game, 90 Day Fiancé, Food Network, or Hallmark. If you have any TV show suggestions, bring them to your appointment because I’m all ears and happy to share mine, too!

At the end of the day, when I get that warm and fuzzy feeling in my heart, it lets me know that I’m doing what God has called me to do. That passion continues to drive me every day.
