Arizona Micro Wedding | Melody + Alan
Melody and Alan are one of the cutest couples. It’s like you can’t get enough of how meant for each other they are. I love black love, and this couple definitely embodies that. Their Arizona micro wedding was so much fun. Surrounded by organ pipe cactus and desert mountains, everywhere you turn is simply a backdrop for the perfect ceremony.
Since this beautiful got married amid a pandemic, they had to modify their guest list, so this wedding was a great way to celebrate with friends and family who couldn’t attend the first date.
Her Hair
Melody and I have worked together before for her wedding in Houston, Texas. Since she loved the hairstyle that I did for her first wedding, she requested the same look, only this time; I incorporated a different hair accessory. Melody has relaxed shoulder-length hair, so for volume and length, I added two bags of Remi hair clip-ins, curling and pinning each section as I go. Once her hair was cooled down, I took the pins out, finger-combed her hair's back, and used a claw-like comb to finesse the front. Edge control was used to smooth her edges, and hairspray was used to finish off the look.
Her makeup
I actually didn’t do Melody’s makeup for her wedding in Houston, but I was honored to do it for her micro wedding in Arizona. Using a liquid foundation, I applied it all over her face and blended it in with a blender sponge. Concealer was applied under her eyes, and setting powder to combat shine and hold things in place. Melody has beautiful brown eyes, so I used warm brick tones with a pop of smokiness to bring this look together. Lashes were applied and went with a nude lip. Once everything was done, I used a setting spray to keep her face in place while she took photos outside.
