Buffalo Bayou Wedding | Chelsea + Justin
Chelsea was truly a joy to work with! Chelsea needed me to provide hair services for her wedding at Buffalo Bayou in Houston. The catch? It was in June! Her wedding came at a time when COVID-19 was on a downslide, but somehow, both of us ended up with it at the same time when trying to connect to do her trial session. With frustration in both of our tones, we just agreed to do her trial anyway, which was fine!
Those of you who are from Houston know that it is a no-no to have any kind of event, party, or photo shoot outside, let alone a wedding ceremony. But my bride was not backing down from this Texas heat, so we forged on. For her hair, she wanted to wear it down with loose curls, and that is exactly what she got. Knowing that her curls would fall throughout the evening, I prepped her hair with humidity-resistant, holding spray curling and pinning each section, letting the curls cool down while she got her makeup done. Once it was time to take them down, I didn't fuss much with the curls to reduce frizz and falling.
Chelsea opted for a veil-only look with no hair accessory for her ceremony and then wore an NGB Hair Accessory for her reception when she changed her outfit.
