Harry Potter Wedding | Gryffindor Theme
The last and final Harry Potter Wedding was none other than the Gryffindor-themed styled shoot. This one was fun because we got to work in a massive castle-like venue with lots of character.
Early mornings seem to be the name of the game in my industry and this day was no different. We started hair and makeup early that morning so that all five ladies could be camera-ready when the shooting began.
HAIR
For this shoot, we chose big beautiful curls. I had worked with Aubrey before for her bridal portrait session, so I was no stranger to her beautiful hair and bubbly personality. So for this look, I curled and pinned her hair with a 1 1/2” curling iron section by section, pinning each section as I went. Once I finished with makeup, I took each section down and separated each curl, spraying as I went, which creates volume and helps them to last longer.
MAKEUP
The focus for this look was maroon colors, so I focused on adding pops of smokey shades of maroon in the eyeshadow, really infusing it on her lips. I used Camera Ready Foundation and MAC Mineralized Skin Finish to set, ensuring I contoured and highlighted the cheeks and forehead. For eyeshadows, I used Ben Nye and Makeup Forever, and Inglot which are my favorites.
