Secrets Puerto Los Cabos

Secrets Puerto Los Cabo’s was absolutely beautiful. The modern architecture alongside miles of gorgeous views made for the perfect place to get married. I can see why Ashley chose this resort for her desti wedding. A little over a half an hour drive from downtown Cabo, Secrets Puerto Los Cabo Adult Only all-inclusive resort looks and feels like it’s on an island of its own.

Rooms & Suites

Since Ashley had a large bridal party, my assistant and I shared a room to reduce costs for the bride. Our room was beautiful and had panoramic views of the mountains and ocean. The beds were nice and clean and very comfortable. There was a huge jetted tub and a full shower with two showerheads.

When I’m working with a client, I usually don’t spend much time in my room, and this trip was no different; however, I did enjoy the 24-hour room service option for those late-night munchies.

Poolside

The only thing I could complain about at this particular Secrets resort is that we really couldn’t access the beach. The water was SUPER choppy this July 4th weekend, so we weren’t allowed to go in the freshwater. We could walk the beach, but it just wasn’t the same as being able to put your feet in the warm salty water…but it was beautiful.

There was one main area that had many connecting pools surrounded by beautiful palm trees, so there was plenty of room to swim as well as drink. There was a swim-up bar on one side, and wait staff continuously took drink and food orders. During the day, the resort would have different water activities like water aerobics to get our blood flowing.

Ever seen an iguana? Well, you’ll probably see one here. We actually saw two walking around the pool area, so if you’re afraid of them, be on the lookout…oh and they can swim too!

Food & Drinks

The food was delicious, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from a Secrets resort. I’ve been to a few of them over the past seven years, and I’m never disappointed. The drinks are made with top-shelf alcohol, and the food caters to just about all of your taste buds.

Ashley and her (now) husband hosted a Tequila tasting for their “Welcome” party as a treat to their guests. The area was set up alongside the beach under a gazebo with a Mariachi band playing in the background. It was really fun and an excellent way to break the ice with guests.

Entertainment

Since we were at the resort for July 4th weekend, they hosted a party with a live band, a lavish buffet of food and desserts, and drinks galore.

The resort also has a dance club on site that is open every night with a live DJ that plays all types of music, including Hip Hop, R&B, Techno, and Salsa.
