Oh, the places you will go!

Traveling with clients is lots of fun. I get to experience different types of food, sleep in countries or cities I’ve only heard of, and meet people I wouldn’t otherwise cross paths with. It’s allowed me to get some stamps on my passport and enjoy the world while working with beautiful people. I’ve created this page for you to check out some places I’ve been and the experiences I had.

Secrets the Vine

This modern resort is located in Mexico and is near and dear to my heart because I had my destination wedding there. The views are breathtaking, the weather (in November) was excellent the customer service was none like we’d ever experienced before. The gazebo was perfect for us to get married under, with ocean views in front of us. If you prefer to get married directly on the beach, there is an option for that as well. If you think Chick-fil-a treats you right, then you’ll LOVE Secrets. It’s my fave!

The Castle
at Rockwall

The Castle at Rockwall is one of those venues where you drive up the long driveway with that “wow” look on your face. It is huge on the outside and takes you by surprise…a good surprise. The dark floors and the high ceilings make for a great event space that will take guests by surprise. I loved the bridal suite because it was a reasonably large size, and the lighting was great for hair and makeup services to be done. It’s a memorable event space. See Krystal’s wedding here.

Secrets Puerto
Los Cabos

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos is great for the golfers in the family. I can honestly say that the weather in July was the best I’d experienced in Mexico. Even though we couldn’t go to the beach and enjoy the water, we still had fun in the pool. The water aerobics and swim-up bar were a hit! The room decor is charming, with breathtaking views of the ocean and the mountains. The outdoor event space was beautiful and somewhat secluded, so your area could remain private for you and your guests. See Ashley’s wedding here.

Secrets Cap Cana

Secrets Cap Cana is located in the Dominican Republic on what seems like its own private island. With the option to have an ocean or tropical view, there is no way you will feel like you’re missing out. The beach’s white sand and aqua-blue water are fantastic and only waist deep. They have a modern indoor event area that is perfect for hosting a wedding, or in our case, my client’s 70th birthday party. There are plenty of things to do, from nightclubs to movie nights.

Embassy Suites by Hilton McAllen Convention Center

This contemporary hotel is upscale, with modern studios and suites with kitchenettes. Since I was only there for a short time to do hair for my client’s wedding, I didn’t get to enjoy all of the amenities. The hotel is a 5-minute walk to the McAllen Convention Center (which I could see from my window) and Palms Crossing shopping center and is only 3 miles away via our courtesy airport. I love that they had a complimentary happy hour each night and outdoor family activities at the convention center at night. See Lisa’s wedding here.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

The all-inclusive Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa is a modern property in the popular vacation hotspot of Riviera Cancun. It caters to the whole family because it is a resort for all ages, which is why my client chose this resort. Going to the end of August was a bit muggy because of the high humidity, but the breeze throughout the day was beautiful. The resort has several pools and all types of water activities the family can enjoy. See Shakera’s wedding here.

El dorado Royale

El Dorado Royale is located in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and is massive! This all-inclusive adult-only resort faces the coast of Riviera Maya and is well known for its cuisine. I have to admit that the food was delicious and the drinks were too. I wish the rooms were more modern, but the views were beautiful. My favorite part of this resort was the concierge service that comes with your stay. They can schedule dinners for you, set up excursions, and more. My bride married her partner here at the resort on the rooftop with 360 views, which was beautiful. They have a nightclub on-site and pool activities to do if you don’t want to leave the resort.
